- Trained intensively for 5 months in phonetics and Modern usage of English at the Regional Institute of English, Bangalore along with other teacher educators of four Southern States.
- Studied English language and literature from Chauser's Prologue (Old English) to American Literature and Modern Indian English when appeared for M.A. (Litt.) of Tribhuvan University, Khatmandu (Nepal).
- Teaching experience of 25 years in Degree Colleges.

After writing twenty books for Lw students, I thought of writing English I and II, for Law Course. The question before me is: "Do I do justice to the subject?" I looked back into my past.
- I was taught the methods of teaching English in my B.E.D. Course.
- I taught English from Class III to X in Government Schools for 5 years.
- I trained students in teaching English at Teacher Training Institutes for 5 years.
- I surprised teaching of English in schools as Extension Officer (Education) for 5 years.

With the background I attempted to write English I and II for las students basing on the syllabi of Bar Council of India and other universities by referring to the books presented in the Bibliography. The faculty members of Law institutes and the students have to judge, after using these books, whether I succeeded in my attempt. I express my profound gratitude to the eminent authors and publishers of the books referred to. At the same time, I am grateful to my 'Teacher' Prof. V. Sasikumar who taught me phonetics at the Regional institute of English at Bangalore, forty years back and an aughtor of 100 books on English Language for writing Forward to this volume.
