Dr. R.K. Bangia
Banking Law & Negotiable Instrument Act
ISBN: 81-89530-04-6

Banking is the most important aid for the functioning and progress of the present day world. In the context of Indian scenario, where we find a highly rapid progress being made in respect of not only industrial, agricultural and other commercial activities, but also international commerce and trade including imports and exports, it is unthinkable that those activities can be possible without the sound banking system tailored to meet the demands of the day.

Today the function of the banks is not limited to depositing customer's money and re-imbursement of the same. They engage in pratically all kinds of activities connected with the progress of industrials as well as the society. They may be concerned with the aspects of investments in the fund of deposits made by its customers, granting loans and giving credit facilities like overdraft to those engaged in business, giving credit particularly in rural areas with the aim of social progress, grant loans to rehabilitate poor people for a small thing like purchase of a bicycle, cycle-rickshaw or for purchase of cars and trucks, or for the buying, construction or repair of a house, or for education or even establishment of any business of profession.

Prof. Kailash Rai
Administrative Law
ISBN: 81-89530-01-1

It is a matter of pleasure form me to present the Seventh Edition of the book, Principles of Administrative Law, in the hands of reader. It has provided me an opportunity to revise the book and bring it up-to-date.

The whole text has been thoroughly revised in the light of the statutory amendments and judicial decisions. The Administrative Tribunals (Amendment) Act. 2009 has amended several sections and inserted several new sections.

In the selections of the cases and statutory provisions the author has exercised his full discretion. On many issues the law if not well settled. On such issues conflicting views have been stated and explained and an attempt has been made to derive a conclusion as to the present position of law. The suggestions made by the author in his articles on the Constitutional Law. Administrative Law. PIL, History of Courts, etc. have also been stated at the appropriate places in the book.

Justice Rajesh Tandon
The Code of Civil Procedure
ISBN: 81-89530-07-0

I have gone through portions of Sri Mahesh Prasad Tandon's commentary on the Code of Civil Procedure. The learned author has taken great pains over it preparation. The book is intended primarily for the use of students and young practitioners and for their purposes it is admirably suited. What is most essential in their case is to give them an accurate ideas as to what happens to a suit from the date of its institution to its final decision and execution. In order to achieve this object the author has departed from the usual pratice of commentators in taking sections one by one and commenting on every important worked contained therein. His scheme is to take a group of sections and to reprocedure the subject deal with by them in a narrative form so as to present to the reader a complete and itelligble picture of the procedure contained therein. I am sure this work will prove useful to persons for whom it is intended.

It is very creditable for the learned author to find time in the midst of his official career to carry on literary activities. I understand he has brought out several other useful works also. I wish him all success in his literary enterprise.
